Latin America's Top Android City Building Games in Q1 2021

In the first quarter of 2021, Latin America witnessed significant activity in the city building game category on the Android platform. Sensor Tower's data provides insights into the performance of the top games in this genre.

SimCity BuildIt showed consistent weekly active users, starting the quarter with close to 394K and peaking at roughly 383K in late March. Downloads began at around 36K and saw a mid-quarter peak at over 30K, while revenues started at approximately $16K and ended the quarter at nearly $9K.

Next, The Simpsons™: Tapped Out demonstrated an impressive download count, with an initial 53K that surged up to over 86K by late March. Active users also showed growth from about 416K to 444K. Revenue trends started at around $4K, peaking at $4.4K in early January, then declining to just over $2K by the end of March.

Global City: Building Games had a more varied trajectory, with downloads decreasing from 39K to 8.5K and weekly active users dropping from 44K to just over 10K. Revenue for this title followed a declining trend from nearly $3K to just under $1.6K.

For Megapolis: City Building Sim, downloads started at 23K and experienced a high of over 38K in early March, only to decrease to 20K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a peak of nearly 35K in early March, but this figure fell to around 24K. Revenue displayed a mid-quarter spike, reaching $1.4K before settling back to $742.

Lastly, The Tribez: Build a Village had a modest presence in terms of downloads and active users, with downloads peaking at over 2K and active users reaching 2.5K in late February. Revenue showed a late-quarter increase, rising to just over $1K.
